1920s micro beaded purse filigree frame enamel and jewel mauve blue green flapper purse

This 1920s micro beaded purse is a lovely work of art. The frame on this bag is very intricate - gold filigree with embedded "jewels" and enamel painted flowers. The handle chain is doubled and attaches to the frame via carved O-rings onto scrolled loops. There is a very interesting triangular clasp on the top which is decorated with filigree and jewels and enamel flowers. The fringe on the back is doubled strands of beads in two tones. I noted two strands which have some missing beads.

This is an unusually large bag of this type - you can fit all your essentials.

The interior used to be lined with a blue/gray silk fabric but it has been removed. There is an original round double mirror inside.

Handle drop - 6" when doubled, as shown
